I shot these on Friday night from Melbourne. Seeing was good at times, you just had to pick the moment. Usual set up, 8 inch f5 Newtonian, 9mm eyepiece with 2x Barlow and a Canon Eos 550d.
Great outcome Mick :thumbsup:

Impressive! They're the sort of images I'm hoping to grab with a similar setup.

Very nice Mick; I'm mildly surprised to see you using a DSLR for planetary;
I always found an el cheapo webcam gave better results.

Thanks Raymond, the main reason for using the DSLR is no need to lug around and connect a computer to the camera. The process is simple and effective, I've yet to see better results with a cheap Webcam using a setup similar to what I have. More aperture and focal length is what I need!
Thanks Paul, glad you like them, no reason why you won't get the same results with your setup as long as you get a night of good seeing.
Thanks Peter, you're always encouraging, I'm pleased you enjoyed them.
