QUICKIE TIME!
1 hr of the project I am working on.
First guess not using a plate solving programme wins a kiss from Louie Atalasidas :P
Lots of new items in this one... And NOT even processed apart from removing the LP eczema :) You get a glorious LOW RES JPEG....not uploading this 1hr to Astrobin

You got the CG prefix right but it’s not CG4. This is part of a Cometary Globule but has an NGC designation

Ahh, I think I remember this from the ESO southern nebula at high galactic latitudes... iirc it's ballpark hydra - centaurus region?

I need to check around to see if there is H-a nearby, as I feel I removed some background/peripheral H-a in the LP removal. Not too many wide field shots of this, and others I have looked at appear dark.

Noe - I'm not  - I only get an hour on it every time it's clear...and the longer I wait to do it, the less time I get to image it - UNLESS I move my imaging location to further up the hill away from trees (not likely)

You'll have to shift your 3 cement pad observatory Lewis!

That's too big an effort.

New one to me.
If others hadn't said it was CG12 and won, and in context, I'd have guessed the one-eyed squid nebula, and expected a cigar.
Nomenclature aside, the colours are great, and it looks very interesting.
Best,
Mike

Ta Rick.
Now have to set the ROI in MaxIM so I don’t have to see the curving edges lol. Rather the ostrich approach than post-cropping lol.
