when things just gel - this is only an hours worth of imaging of NGC5139 with a partial moon. entirely processed in pixinsight, stacked in Deepsky stacker. 1 hr of mixture of 5, 10, 15, 30, 40, 60 second shots with a gain of 40 with the ASI071 through a 11" RASA. unguided on a titan mount from the doghouse observatory

Thanks Mike. To think I managed 3 targets in one evening. A lot of the results is making sure I have focus. I am so looking forward to using it at a dark sky sites like Queensland astrofest. I collected 24gig of data last night for all 3 targets. Have a look at Friday's effort when I didn't switch on the camera cooling and the temperatures dropped quickly and took the focus. A huge learning curve. I am in awe of the shots others are getting with their gear, makes me quite pedestrian while a porche goes past, just makes me appreciate what we can achieve now
