I’m happy to have gotten to this stage with it.
Still very early days with me and PI processing....
I’ve done something crazy with the star shapes unfortunately during decon. Shame, as there is some good resolution here.
That said, I really enjoy the FOV that this tiny, Atik chip provides.
Logie.

P.S. oh, and no flats. Oops.

The resolution and detail is really good. If it weren’t for the slight blur from the trailing stars it would be :eyepop:

Yeah there is in fact nil star trailing. My stars look like planetary nebulas b/c of decon settings. I’ll have a play.

What I might do is upload the files for people to have a play with. I think there is some good data there, in the right hands...

So it is all Devon settings making the look like squashed stars?
That you typically suggest that you have the aspect incorrectly put in for your round stars.

When you MMS'd me at near midnight last night, I thought, "Gawd, ANOTHER Centaurus A"... and promptly went back to sleep

Now I see it full size, and it's schmicko

Hahha when you MMSd me that Corona Aus shot at 12pm Mon, I thought struth - not another nifty 50 lens shot, but then I realised, BubbaQ :)

Despite the star issue, the galaxy looks very good with sharp detail.

Thanks all, for the kind comments :)

Louie - I still remember your PS video tutes. Excellent stuff. This PI business is a brave new world...

I need to reiterate that Logan - Louie's tutorials are the best I have ever used - BY FAR, and actually brought my images from kludge to just half-kludge (more of an achievement than you think!).
