Hi Guys

It's tough trying to shoot galaxies in these skies but hey,keeps me out of trouble.

Lots of problems with this image so feel free to kick my donkey!

Object: M83

Scope: RC 12

Exposure: LRGB/L 240 min binned 1x1/RGB 20/20/20 binned 2x2

Camera: ML8300

Mount: MX+/guide scope FC 60

Software: SkyX Pro/AA5/CC

Really nice Louis. Have been avoiding galaxies from Sydney but given what you have done here it might be game on.
Using any LP filters?

We moved to the Shire from Gibson Avenue in Padstow over two decades ago..but it was where I spent many a happy night with my Meade 10 SCT....hence I know first hand that it isn't easy dealing with a glowing sky.

But...you might want to take a look at everything at the back of the CCD imaging train: CCD cover slip, window, filters, reducters, correctors

They need to be perfectly clean and as dust-mote free as possible. Makes calibrating the data later far more forgiving ;)
