Cat's Paw Nebula in Ha and HaRGB

Still getting the hang of HaRGB combination. Still not getting any star colours. If you have any tips, that'd be great. My pixinsight trial runs out in a few days so anything photoshop related would be great. I think I should stick to narrowband only imaging when at home. The colour subs are blown out from streetlight and the huge LED lights from the recently finished commonwealth games stadium just minutes away from my house.

Also had some issues guiding, hece the slightly elongated stars. I think my mount became unleveled. Left the set up set outside for several days under cover and I think the tiles I set my tripod on may have sank since than.

I also bought a spare asi120mm to use it for guiding when I'm using the 290MC to image planets but I'm having issues with lost frames every few minutes. Looks like this is a common issue from what I read. Thinking of returning it back to bintel but if theres a solution I haven't seen, please let me know.

13x 5min for Ha
10x 3min for each colour channel.

Great images Tony, especially mono Ha. If I was you I would bail out on the ASI120MM, especially if Bintel will take it back. It's a camera that should not be sold with the unsolvable split frame/lost frame issue. I lost money on the ASI120MC and have just ordered an ASI120MM-S usb3 for guiding which I am hoping is not more money flushed down the toilet!

All wonderful images Tony.
I maintain you can reduce the effects of being bathed in street light by fitting a long dew tube...I have mentioned my baffled tube here before and I am convinced that it wil help...rather that build a baffeled one right up try a rolled up poece of black cardboard and see if you notice any improvement.

It wont reduce sky glow but may minimise some light finding its way down the tube.

The seeing must have been pretty good at that point.

I guess the planets are a result of video stacking?

Re star colour: From my experience white stars come from either over stretching or over exposure. It was not until I used much shorter exposure times did the colour start to appear. See my avatar, that is Gamma Crucis!

Also play with the saturation and curves.

Even with the slight star elongation the detail within the Paw is nice :)
