The Eastern Banjo Frog, we spotted this little fella out for his nightly stroll. He had come from a section of the garden I had fertilised with dynamic lifter so I thought it best to relocate him in to some water for a rinse off. It's nice to think these little creatures make their homes in our garden. We also have the Green and Gold Frog, Litoria raniformis in the garden but they have proven too fast to photograph.

It's great to find these little wonders in your own backyard.

It feels kinda nice to know they're out there. Somehow "old world".

Yes, Ric is right, Phil. Even if you have snakes around the place frogs are a good sign for your local environment. I'm fortunate here in that we have a few around (judging from the booming and croaking that goes on at various times of the year) and the odd one or two that I've seen have been quite pretty; I hope that's not some sort of oxymoron.

Unfortunately I have a cat which, if she gets her bloated belly into gear, occasionally brings home a prize. Conversely she has never killed one as she seems to have the ability not to damage them in transit (I don't know how as the skinks don't fare so well) so they have always been released to fight another day.
