Corona that is :)

Managed 4 hours on Corona Australis last night (and 2 other targets - yay!) with the Wee Takker. Yeah, it's still noisy like a friday night at the pub, so I shall persevere.

So, I can finally officially claim a FIRST for the year. Now go load your Honders and RC's and do me proud

A very nice feel for how some of the dust looks black and obscures the distant stars, while some of the other dust looks warm grey-brown, presumably reflects the foreground starlight, but still obscures the distant stars.

And yes, a first!

Thanks guys.

There is a truck-load of noise still, especially in the dark lanes, and the "hockey stick" isn't popping yet, so another 4 hours...

Great start Lewis, just another couple of clear nights data and you'll have a 'keeper there :)

That's very good. Are you getting serious at last, Lewis?

Hell no. Knowing me, that'll be it. I seem to be one of the "tick it off the list" type :). MAYBE, just MAYBE I'll keep going. Maybe. Got to probably finally succumb to the dark side of auto-focus.

M78 has been a 6 year nemesis quest so far... bugging me too.

I have some really, really nice M78 data that I'm processing at present :)

Pretty good given the duration. The colour is right on.

It's on my agenda to do a close up of the reflection nebula in the near future, so I'll be one you can expect an image from.

Thanks Paul. I agree - it needs at least another 4 hours to really do it justice. And with it's positioning currently for me, it is an ideal target.

4 hours was my previous record. Let's see if I can make it 8 :)
