OK question on if this would be OK to do? Loaded as the RASA would be installed in the daylight as to the guide scope. My question is can I just drift align with the guidescope?

That should be OK David, if you are using PHD for guiding it has a drift align wizard you can use.

As long as your guide scope is exactly parallel to your main scope and won't move.

If you have a view of the SCP, you can use the SharpCap (version2.9) Polar alignment option.
Works very well.

Gday Stu
Thats not required for drift aligning.
The two scopes could be 10deg out and drift aligning will still work.

Won't the guide scope optically aligned with the main scope be OK?
You'll need a camera on the guide scope as well :P
