Hi everyone,

I recently received a HEQ5 which has very audible slewing.

I understand that these mounts can have the 'coffee grinder effect' but this is excessively so and I believe would greatly benefit from some tuning.

I have never attempted it before but have seen the guide online.

If anyone in Adelaide has experience and is willing to guide a first timer, please get in contact with me.

Cheers all,

Ryan

Ryan have a go.
The first time takes a while but after you have done it a few times it is surprising how fast you can pull them down.
Maybe it just needs a clean and a little grease...set aside a space have little bowls or boxes to put bits in and take photos as you go.

Hi Ryan,
I agree with Alex - I was going to get rid of my clunky EQ5, but then pulled it apart, cleaned it and regreased with superlube and it improved markedly. I then added new belt-drive motors and have no need to replace it.
