Hi All,

Well today I learned a very important lesson, keep your batteries charged.

I had almost given up with the clouds, but then I thought what the heck and went out again and again and again.. till finally the comet descended out of the clouds like a long finger pointing to where the sun had set tail slightly bent.

I got one good snap of the 17 I took, before my batteries gave out. But then I just enjoyed it with my 10x50 binos. The long bending tail that earlier was straight. I guess this indicates its motion around the Sun.

Regards
Fahim

Just seen the comet tonight with the family from the local lookout. Fantastic, best ever ! Observed it with 7X50 binoculars, but the naked eye is best !
Tail is easily as large as full clench fist longitudinally at arms length. That translates to I think about 15 degrees, naked eye ! Best time with twilight was at about 8.45pm before the comet got too low. And that was with some high cloud around.
Can't wait until tomorrow night !
Rob.
