I must report that here in Perth. Comet McNaught is a spectacular view heading towards the sun. The head is quite bright with its tail clearly seen with the naked eye. One person called with excitement, "I can see it with my own eyes" There were hundreds of people line up Welshpool Road heading to Lesmurdie., with cars line up along side the road (a place where you can see the whole of Perth). People standing on boulders and other high points to get away from the trees. Most with binoculars and many were pleased with the view. People on their mobile phones giving directions where to look. I helped one man and his two sons with their small 60mm scope. Watching him struggle as the telescope was pointing to the ground. I could see his frustration with it. I help him aim and focus it and through the 60mm Comet McNaugh was just awesome!

It certainly was spectacular from Perth last night. The previous 2 nights were good but last night was "WOW". Almost perfect clear skies, just that layer of smog.
There weren't too many people where I was at the top of Crystal Brook Rd, they must've all been where you were :)
I'm trying to convince myself not to spend time taking anymore tonight... spent the whole week doing this, need to catch up with the rest of my life....
Hi Michael, Roger, yes your right it certainly is a great sight, even here in Ballarat, so far away from you guys.
Cheers Leon
Sure is great, and the public are loving it. Carpark at Shoalwater beach(Rockingham) is around 1k long and it was full last night and tonight!
I'm sure its like that all up and down the west coast. Awesome.
