First attempt at capturing a Running Chicken.
20 mins each RGB, 30 mins Ha. Darks and Bias frames.
Scope, cameras, guiding all ran like clockwork tonight
Blowed if I can see the chicken though .....

Congrats on your first Chicken, Brent. Might look more chicken-like with the head left on?

Here is mine, from a year ago.. just a test, stack from number of 30sec frames etc., taken with Canon FD 400mm f/2/8 @f/4 and Canon 450D (full mod).

I can never see the chicken either Brent. It's good fun trying though.

Hmm, that depends on what you consider to be 'The Chicken'. Some say it's the brighter area in the middle, others see it upside down. Who ever named it should be called forth to explain or point it out. :P
I guess it's like a lot of other objects, some are obvious, others not so much. I'm just impressed with how much stuff we don't see visually till we look with other means eg Ha.
And just how good the ASI 1600mm-c really is.
I put off going Mono for years as it looked too difficult but once you get your head around it then it opens up so many more options. Still heaps to learn and discover. :D
