This morning, super conjunction between Mars and cluster M22! with Saturn nearby!

Despite some thin clouds, I was lucky to be able to get some good data set. Simply beautiful! The contrasting colour between Mars and the stars of M22 was simply mesmerising!

Excellent result Shah. I was hoping to observe this conjunction but I was completely clouded out. Your images certainly give a tantalising glimpse of what must have been a wonderful sight..

Thanks for posting.

Very pretty - I wished I had gotten to see this but clouded out as well.

Interesting diffraction patterns - are they from the Iris diaphragm? I'm presuming they're not from the secondary spider?

Thanks Steve! I was lucky because the day before was really cloudy!

Thanks Markus. Not exactly. I was using the refractor TS65Q. Added artificial spikes using some threads and cheap paper cards. Not sure why, but I always find big bright objects with diffraction patterns interesting to look at. :D
