I have a perfect condition EQ5 GoTo mount for sale to fund my first cooled camera. That is some marking on the counterweights but won't affect the use.

what is the black portion on mount head and sync controller stuff on tripod leg?

Hi Adi,

The black portion on the mount head is the gear for DEC axis.
The one on the tripod leg is a connector for
- SynScan controller
- power
- RA axis
- guidescope
