There's a good chance I will be offline for 2 days as of tomorrow.
The Tech is coming to organize the NBN installation....may take up to 24hs - 48hrs for activation.

From Aussie BB ......

Your nbnTM service is due to be installed on Friday 9th March!

Often nbnTM will work straight after installation, but sometimes it may not because NBNCo needs to do other work to get your service up and running. Usually it will go live within 24-48 hours of your appointment or activation time.

This information is for the benefit of those who have recently purchased eyepieces from me.

I don't want you to think I've done a runner :rundog: on you......

Please don't contact Interpol / CIA or Border Force ..... unless you never hear from me again.....:P

You'll be sorrreeeeee.....
"They" said the same thing to us. It took 3 weeks to get everything sorted and we're still not much faster than dial-up!

Have faith Col :)

My connection was a literal fairytail.

We chose our house purchase partly on seeing the green fibre being strung though the old Tel$tra pits - this was before the lesser "options" were offered to many unfortunate localities...

I logged our interest with an RSP, then called them 45 seconds after they sent the "available in your area" email. Booked an install for ASAP (2 weeks later). 2 companies/installers were involved. the 1st Mob appeared perfectly on time, and found that my exit point was NOT in the pit in front of my house. Rather than fight with NBN Co. to fix it in software, they simply ran the fibre 100m up the street to the correct input. My old copper phone line was a perfect draw cable into the house.

Another dude showed up 15mins after the last lot left (like tag team wrestling), and mounted the ONT, backup box etc. He fiddled with some details on an iPhone app, and the light went green. As I'd pre-configured the router from a welcome email by the RSP, it was good from the get go.

I hope your experience is just as painless :)

Aussie Broadband are good. Very highly rated.

Most of the teething problems with getting up and running should be sorted by now, so you should be up and running by the evening of your install date.

See you on the other side!

Aaaaaaaaw come on fellas .... porn, what's that....I'll have to ask Mr Trump about that....

NBN up and running ..... did a 'speed test ' 11.37MB download.... I went for a ' Basic ' Plan ( way ahead of ADSL I had ... was getting ~2MB DL then )

Set up the NBN Modem / Router ..... waited ...and within 45mins was online.
Only had to go into my wireless settings and sort that out ... real easy.

Absolutely painless experience .... the Modem / Router was already configured for Aussie BB ...just plug everything in and all OK
