40th = A Ruby

Excuse me, I am feeling a little sentimental, and wanting to share...
Today we celebrate 40 Years of marriage. (Traditionally a Ruby Anniversary)
Thankyou to a wonderful woman, a tolerant, forgiving, straight shooter.
I don't think I would be here today without her.
I am sorry for the times I forget to appreciate how lucky I have been.

Congrats Allan, the fact that you have posted this is a great reminder that the things we sometimes take for granted, ie partnerships/ marriage are actually fundamentally important.
I hit 11 years married later this year with my amazing wife, my parents are well over 60 years. We all agree that time flies by, our love for each other over arches everything and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Congratulations Allan, what lovely words toward your wife, how lucky she is :). So beautiful that the love and bond are still so strong after 40 years. Onwards towards the gold :thumbsup:. Can you teach my hubby how to talk like that? He's such a blokey bloke :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::roll eyes:, I feel like I deserve an award for putting up with him for 31 years :P.
