The Seagull Nebula season is officially late but declared open!

No 8 panel mega collection here, since I'm still bedding down the setup and deciding the camera's fate. Nevertheless it's a massive 6hrs of data here, be still my beating heart! A decent amt of RGB produced a pretty clean result (though some baby seagulls due to the ff sensor exist), but the Ha on the cam is still very bad after just 1hr40min.

Will post a link to the original RGB and Ha data for those curious.

Just looks a bit over done Simon strange colours in the background on the image and stars HA might have over whelmed the RGB.

Great in the main areas of the image. Some trouble with collimation and with tilt though damaging the corner stars. Its a full frame camera so some alignment is going to be needed. We all have to go through that.

I kinda like the idea of seagulls in the background, Simon. It's vaguely fractal. Looks pretty decent if not inspected closely :)

OMG us southerners have SIX CLEAR nights in a row! Should give me time to fiddle with spacing more or tilt, although I note that the gulls are in all 4 corners, so tilt may not be the cause?

Funny, seems that whenever one of my images gets a reduced reaction here, my Flickr account goes crazy! This one made their Explore page again, always a hoot. Maybe I will ask the PI team for a Morphlogical destruction process (aka Megadecon)
