An attempt to shoot the Vela Supernova remnant. Used the Canon 70-300L at 300 f/5.6, 14 frames of 4 minutes each.
The post processing after stacking was very tedious and took much time, finally I used the Lonelyspeck method (https://www.lonelyspeck.com/photographing-and-processing-the-constellation-orion-astrophotography-image-stacking-and-lrgb-processing/). He has a video with very clear instructions how to do this in Photoshop.
The result I consider rather poor, but you can see at least the blue 'Pencil' NGC2736.

Wow, all achieved on your portable "30 yr old Vixen SP mount with RA clock drive .... And when doing AP, I use a plastic water bottle filled with sand as a counterweight and a pair of shoes to get it well balanced".
