Below are crops from my first image with a ZWO ASI-094MC Pro camera.

5 Jan 2018 (82% moon)
16x10min subs (gain 0, offset 0, -10deg)
Captured using Nebulosity, processed using PixInsight

I’m trying to get the hang of the PixInsight workflow after using Nebulosity and Photoshop for image processing until now. Tips welcome!

But fairly impressed with this OSC CMOS camera (especially given the 82% moon).
Low noise, quiet fan, and super-fast USB3 downloads.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Jeff

Congrats on the first light, Jeff!

The IP4AP video tutorials on PI are good if you like learning from video (the initial Primer is free if you want to get a taste.) Warren Keller's book Inside PixInsight is also good. There are plenty of other useful www sites and the PI Forum, of course...

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Mark and Rick.

Have watched the freebie IP4AP videos. Also purchased Warren Keller's book Inside PixInsight - working my way through slowly.

Have the basics covered, but still plenty of hills to climb to get to where I was at with Photoshop (& Noel Carboni's Astronomy Tools). But enjoying the journey.

Jeff, if you'd like to PM me your email I'll send you a copy of Jim Morse's PI cheat sheet. It's a collection of PI lore from the forum and many other places.

Cheers,
Rick.
