what would a ZWO ASI183mcpro be like?

was wondering what an ASI183 would be like?:shrug::question:

Pretty good, if you were imaging at relatively short focal lengths or have great seeing...

The 2.4 micron pixels are more fruitful than one might imagine...QE is >80%. I have the 178 mono, the 183 is the scaled up chip (6MP vs 20MP)

Yeah the 294 is quite an interesting beast...

Noticeable difference in sensor size and therefore FOV. Larger pixels...roughly 4x bigger by area, so quite the photon bucket, with Full Well depth of over 60,000. A little less angular resolution.

Faced with such a dilemma, I’d probably go for the 294, assuming it suits the scope focal length.
