15 stacked 8 second exposures through 8inch reflector at iso 400.
Then pre eclipse moon was a 1/320 shutter speed iso 100.

Nice pic David,
How did you stack them?
I took a few Moon shots with my DSLR and telephoto but
no matter what I do I can't get them to stack.
I tried deep sky stacker - hopeless - then
I downloaded Registax 6 but it just couldn't stack properly -
possibly the worst software in the world.
I've stacked plenty of deep sky photos successfully with DSS
but never managed to get any other program to work.
Edit - I did manage did stack some pics in the end using Photoshop
but as it was only a telephoto on a DSLR it's no where near as good as yours.
I used the feature here:
https://digital-photography-school.com/how-to-improve-your-long-exposure-with-photo-stacking/
You did well.
cheers

Lovely work David ; some people had a visual treat using Binos, with the Beehive M44 only about 3° away from the total Lunar Eclipse .

Dss is no good for lunar/planetary.
I used Registax and 15 images.
I have failed in Registax before, but this time I had the mount on Lunar tracking, which meant the images were pretty close to the same place in the frame and I guess that helped with stacking.
I then used photoshop to get more stars out.

Hi David,
In my case it was only Photoshop that would stack the images.
It was better than nothing.
I had never used these commands before:
I think knowing that could be very handy even for
terrestrial photography.
cheers
Allan
