Hi all,

Getting back into it after about 6 months and I am going to go visual for the evening.

What's up at the moment? Looking for nebula and galaxy clusters but please, anything cool will help!

NGC1672

ESO121-6

NGC1559

NGC1313

NGC1433

NGC2613

IC2469

NGC2997

HorseHead Nebula

SMC

LMC

Orion Nebula

To name a few that I can see from my backyard and in a reasonable position. Although, I image so not sure for visual unless you have a large scope

Checkout Stellarium software as that helps to show what's where and when.

Cheers,

Damien.

Luke ....

Try also ...

M77 in Cetus ..very easy to see Galaxy.

As is M83 in Hydra.

N2392 the Eskimo Nebula in Gemini...Mag 9.. easy.

NGC 5189 the Spiral Planetary, near Alpha Muscae.... gives the appearance of a barred spiral galaxy. At magnitude 10 and 2.60 arc minutes it is large and bright ..some colour.

Also in Centaurus N3918 ..The blue planetary...10" Mag 8..and is really blue!

N 3372 ... Eta Carinae Nebula.

N2516.... glorious Star cluster in Vela .

N 3532 another in Carina .. just north of the southern Cross(Crux).

Tuc 47..in Tucana.and Omega Centauri.

Acrux ..a A triple Star... GAMMA Volantis (Gold and blueish) nearby....others below in image.

In fact just scan around the Southern Cross!

Always visit these when I get a chance .
