I guess there are two crimes against astro-imaging here, another M42
..........and the fact I've been using my AP130 Starfire GTX as a solar telescope for the last 2 years.:rolleyes:
Finally... the skies cleared...the planets aligned and I decided to attach both my STX16803 and AP Field flattener to the Starfire and see what this puppy could produce.
I should not have been surprised to see such the trapesium nicely resolved and perfect stars to the very edge of the 16803...but it seems once again AP have produced an absolute gem of an instrument.
The result is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery417.html) 50% res to keep it web friendly
If the weather holds...might even do some colour :)
