Would like to start a survey thread for what are you favourite binoculars you own for astronomy?
My favourites:
Canon 15x50 IS - the binos I probably have used more than any other. Great wide AFOV and near telescopic images of the brighter deep sky objects.
Canon 18x50 IS - I acquired a pair very recently and believe that the 3x extra magnification is worth it and pulls in more resolution and power but this is getting toward the limit of image stabilization technology.
Fujinon 10x50 FMT-SX - Just got a pair, yet to test it from dark skies but from my light polluted backyard it absolutely owns anything of similar size and dimensions.

I like my APM 100 mm APOs....while they are too big to hand hold, properly mounted they are a joy to use.

Nikon Monarch 8x42. (They serve more than one purpose.) I love the colour rendition on them.

From a practical sense, my Canon 15x50 IS are like nothing else I’ve used.
Still, have a soft spot for my first pair...Zeiss Jenoptem...but once you use IS, it’s hard to go back

Its sibling 16x56 which is awesone and despite its 16x power, still good for handheld use.

Nikon 7 x 50 tropical. Bright clear images, individual focus, waterproof and so tough I could hand my pair to the Wallabies to use as a football for a full 90 minutes, wash them off and they would perform like new.

My only pair of binos (which I find more than adequate) is TS 10x50 WP. I believe that these are just rebranded Pentax 10x50WP as they look identical, same price have the same specifications.
On my wish list is Canon 10x42L IS :)

One more for the Nikon Monarch 8x42. Very convenient to use, and quite excellent colours.
But, with age and the shakes, I delight in my Canon 10x42 image stabilised. Gripes, though. 'Eyepiece' comfort is not good for me (big nose!) and I have added leather thingies to keep stray light out from the sides; and the 'on' light is green, not red.
Great to use lying in a recliner with elbows supported. Very low stress......

You might find that a delicate application of red nail varnish works wonders ;)

Aha! Thanks for the tip!
Unfamiliar one is, with stuff such as nail polish......
