Hi friends,
This image of Melotte 15, inside the Heart nebula, was an exercise in patience. The weather "up here" (northern Indiana, USA) has been truly terrible for nearly 2 months now. This image consists of data take an hour or three at a time over the course of 4 weeks in between bursts of snow and clouds. Even so, the seeing conditions and transparency were pretty bad throughout.
Even so, the image turned out better than I expected. This is a SHO narrowband image taken with my dual imaging setup:
CFF250RC at f/6 - Ha/OIII
SV80ST - SII/RGB
I hope you like it!

While I'm at it, I have a question about posting on this forum and using html code. Whenever I post an image here I try to post code that shows a thumbnail image here and on clicking the image links to a larger image.
When I preview the post this shows up correctly: the clickable thumbnail image is displayed in the preview but when the actual message gets posted the thumbnail image is replaced with the actual code I wrote, and it links just to the thumbnail image, not to the larger image.
What am I doing wrong?

Dunno bout the HTML code Joel but hey, your Melotte is a fine wine indeed, nicely done, good detail and colours are great

Melotte 15 is one of the more photogenic northern objects and you've done a really nice job, Joel, despite the weather!
I've noticed the same issue with image links but don't have a solution, I'm afraid. I presume it's a bug in the forum software.
Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Mike and Rick. This did turn out better than I thought it would.
Rick, is there a moderator or someone "in the know" that I can ask about the HTML code?
