Cirrostratus Houghy, these whitish milky veil clouds are often in broad formations. They are the one cloud to reliably show solar haloe's and are one of the very few lower cloud types to do so. They are a possible indication of fronts and depressions but only an indication. The sun rarely appears definable through them and haze at the lower altitude end sometimes dominates, though yours are not heavy in haze by the looks.
