Have any of you guys considered setting up a channel on discord for discussions?
Discord was developed for people who play online games, however I believe it's free and can be used for almost any online discussion. It's very similar to facebook messenger in that you can share pictures/ videos/ chat in the format of messenger.
It also allows for different "channels" to be setup, allowing you to keep the different topics of discussion seperate.
And you can also have a chat channel where you can jump in and have a live conversation with people.
It has an app for android and apple phones and works on both windows & Mac pc's.
It can provide real time notifications of new chat messages on discussions, which should allow for faster responses.
I check the forums here multiple times per day as I've been throwing questions around a bit lately.
But having an app on a phone or tablet (which everyone has with them most of the time these days) might allow more conversation/discussion to occur around topics normally brought up on the forums.
This is just a thought, and figured I'd throw the idea out there and see if anyone else thinks there maybe some value in it.
