Just curious about people's experience ordering Feather Touch focussers. I was told 6 to 8 weeks by Starlight but I placed my order on 17th October and still no sign of it being shipped. I'm thinking I should have gone for the Moonlight Focusser now.

I think the USA - much like Aus - tends to take a minimum 2 weeks off over Christmas/New Year (figure in Halloween, Thanks Giving, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah in the US too, as well).

Give it a little time, send an email.

Apparently they are snowed under at present (literally?). email Wayne Schroeder for an ETA - well worth the wait IMO.

Thanks for the replies - I did email Wayne after 6 weeks, he was the one who said 6 to 8 weeks and the 8 weeks was up a week before the Christmas shutdown.

Just me being impatient as I really wanted to use it over the Christmas period as my stock focusser is so useless :(

I emailed Wayne at Starlight - he said they're currently building focusers for orders received in October. That's a 5-month wait on most focusers.

Mine was shipped last week and has been sitting at Perth Airport for the last 36 hours with no updates. Hopefully soon :)

When you do get it and use it for the first time you will know it was worth the wait ,The best bar none ,Bought my scope new and never used the original focuser waited for the Feathertouch to land ...

You are so right there - it arrived yesterday giving me just enough time to get it installed before the eclipse. Absolutely love it - so precise and makes the original feel even worse than I thought it was.

I also ordered an adapter/extension from Wayne for my FTF in October last year and the adapter has just been shipped, so there can be a bit of waiting period included with a purchase.

Very nice focusers though - that’s for sure.

A beautiful piece of hardware. I sold my 4-stage electric focuser to fund my purchase.

Worth every penny, and every week's wait.

After having mine for a couple of weeks now I have to agree with you - well worth both the money and the wait.
