Hi Everyone,
I have a semi deep sky telescope that would like a new home. Its been well used and well loved, and in todays shop dollars a new one is about $4000 for the scope alone.
My telescope has friends that want to go with it, some astronomy software, a meade night image camera, and an assortment of different lens and filters. It also has the separate GPS attachment too.
It has some very slight marking on the front glass, but its been cleaned and serviced by BinTel, and it doesnt interfere with the astronomy or the astro-photography.
9.25-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope NexStar+ hand controller/ multiple language programming

Located on sydneys lower north shore.

Looking for around $2000

Tony

Tony - in the 3rd picture, is that water damage on the corrector plate?

Hi Dean,

its not water damage. There was like a moss, or growth on it, which BinTel, cleaned up for me. I put the photo there so people can see the image on the front glass piece. But so far, it doesnt distort the use of the telescope at night.

Was the growth on front or behind the glass?

How old is the set?

I'm considering upgrade to larger telescope. Willing to post?

Hi,

The issue is on the inside of the glass.

I first of all got the scope just over 10 years ago, and i have updated software, controller, gps, and the kens kit since then.

But it has sat in a box under the house for a few years, and i have got it up and going again.

Im not sure hwo you would get it to SA, but not against it.

I want to down size, hence selling it. We had a deep sky site up at the farm, which was great, but we sold the farm, and space is now an issue. Part of me just wants to keep it, but its way to big for the kids to join in with me, so i want to get some thing smaller.

Tony
