Lunt blocking filter

Was checking my Lunt LS60 solar scope before use and noticed some blotching on the outside perimeter of the B1200 blocking filter { as you look in from the scope end}. Got in touch with Lunt to see if its still safe and if it's repairable etc, they were quick to get back to say its safe and a posting a replacement blue glass part . Anyway just a note to anyone with a similar scope check your blocking filter .

Unfortunately an all to common failure mode....at least Lunt are responsive and supply replacements....

No visible degradation of views yet though, but in the email with the Lunt rep
it would in all probability get worse . Waiting for a return email on the procedure to replace the glass element. Scope is 2014 vintage.
