Just watched the first Jaws movie, digitally remastered. In the night scene, just as the shark is attacking the contractors boat, what looks like a brilliant meteor streaks across the sky in the background. :eyepop:
It appears again in a wide field shot taken from a different angle a few seconds later.... Should I claim it??
Hi Rom,
Well spotted but unfortunately already well documented including on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073195/trivia)
and in a documentary on the making of the movie.
Various sources say the second was added post-production.

Classic !!
I watch it every year.
A bit over enthusiastic by the producers on the second one.
Always remember it though
Cheers

Normally, sharks of all types are disinclined to attack boats. This was obviously not a meteor entering the atmosphere, rather an alien intergalactic craft trialling their new brain modulating ray to alter the shark's usually good mood and making it attack the boat. They are also trialling their tractor beams, hence "Sharknado" was not a movie at all, but a compilation of "real life" social media clips. Please pass me the Chardonnay, this one appears to be rather deplenished...............
