About 9 hours of narrowband data on Thor's Helmet with an RC8 + EQ6 and an ASI1600 MM-C (selected from about 11 hours if data with a cutoff on FWHM). An attempt at a bicolour image attached.
Higher res available on Astrobin here (https://www.astrobin.com/326718/).
Comments welcome. Always struggle trying to find the best field of view for this one and balancing the colours (in this case fake colours!).
Thanks for looking.

Lovely work Paul..when I look at these types of images on screen, I always like to half close my eyes , for a contrast boost ..but that's just me.

Nice image Paul good detail in the helmet.
Background looks a little noisy but central signal parts look smooth.

I like this rendering Paul. There is some back ground mottling but the detail and colour are pleasing to view.

Thanks Michael. I tried to pull out the fainter stuff a bit from the background, but of course the price is a bit of noise. I'm sure there's better ways to do it so you can have your cake and eat it!
Thanks Paul.

A fine image, Paul. You've got great detail in Thor's brain (the cingulate gyrus shows up well), and you're starting to bring out good detail in the horns of the helmet. Nice work.

Thanks Mike and Trish. Never thought of the helmet section as a brain - but now you mention it!

The contrast puts the subject 'up front' nicely. The colour is a good choice too for the nebulosity. Be magic if the star colour could be realised too, but I probably expect too much :-) .
Still, a nicely rendered Thor's Helmet.

Thanks Trev. I guess I'll have to get some RGB data to do the stars :(
A very pleasing image Paul. Well done.

Just catching up on this one Paul and apart from a bit of mottling, mostly in the low signal areas, it is a very good result with some nice fine details showing and I think your framing and colour choice look good too, nice work

Thanks Mike.
Not sure how to handle the mottling in future. Want to bring out low signal background nebulosity, but I guess there's no free lunch!
