Hi All,
We all try to improve on our last pictures dont we, well I recon this one last night of M-42 is about my best of this object, its right overhead at the moment and the sky was clear (but not like winter when its crisp & clear) so tried at F-7.5 the ED80s prime focus, which really seems the best match for the Canon EOS300Ds chip, not certain what the ArcMin/Pixell is at the moment but results are the proof , The Rossette is not a very bright subject, with low surface brightness generally, a cooled Camera would be better for this object, still the Canon is simple to use, and Pix. easy to process, what more could one want.
M42= 5 x 6 Min. at ISO800, DF removed, guided.
ngc2244= 6 x 6 Min. at ISO800, DF removed, guided
cheers.............Jim
