SPX350 F4.53, ST10XME, Astrodon filters.
I have not posted deep space for some time after moving house and getting my setup sorted out. Here are a few galaxies from the Spring sky.
NGC300,1398, 1512.

I have the ASI290 planetary cam - extremely sensitive, and will be testing it on deep space.

very nice John and good to see you back. That last one is interesting. Is it NGC1512?

Hi John,
some great pictures there.
Do you have a pic of your telescope on the mount?
cheers

Oh that NGC 1512 shot is brilliant! The gossamer-thin and super-faint and far distant outer spiral arms (or looping tidal tails perhaps) came out really well.

cracker shots John, well done. Do you have their names by any chance?
Cheers

Thanks everyone.
The first image is NGC300 with all the Ha patches.
The second is a weird galaxy in Eridanus/Fornax NGC1398 which is described as flocculent meaning no obvious arms.
The third is NGC1512 another strange galaxy in Horologium with a spindly arm owing to interaction.
My setup is pretty simple, a big scope on an EQ6 which autoguides perfectly at its payload limit too. I have a big DIY blue dew shield that works really well

Some very tidy results there....the ST10 is an excellent camera. It's QE still exceeds that of most current offerings.

Hi John,
Wow - I thought I had a heavy load on my EQ6 but that's really going for it.
You're getting great results.
cheers

Yes Peter this CCD will be difficult to part with, the dynamic range is amazing. I got it when exchange rate where good too.

Love #2 & #3. Not too keen on #1. The Ha regions look a bit out of place.
