After playing with SGPs Framing & Mosaic Wizard at Snake Valley recently, I had a go last night at a very basic mosaic. Aim was to get B33 (Horsehead), NGC 2024 (the Flame Nebula) and as much of the surround stuff as possible in a very simple 2 panel mosaic. I put a large overlap in place. Consists if 2 images each of 12 subs of 5 minutes each. Image calibration, stacking and mosaic construction all done with Pixinsight. Have to say that mosaic construction in PI is much easier than in Photoshop. PS is very hit and miss I have found, PI works brilliantly.

Scope: Stellarvue SVR102T-IS at f5.6
Camera: Atik One 6.0 at -20deg
Filter: Astronomik 6nm Ha
Mount: Orion Atlas AZEQ-G
Guiding: Orion ST80 and Orion SSAG Pro with PHD2
Image capture: SGP

Processed in Pixinsight entirely apart from image resizing of JPG to allow posting here..
