Welcome to my first ever Galaxy pic. :welcome:
Captured last weekend at the Snake Valley Astro Camp, here is "The Sculptor Galaxy", also known as the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy (NGC 253).

28x300sec Subs plus Darks & Flats. Using an SBig 8300C Camera cooled to -15deg, Skywatcher Esprit 120ED Super APO Scope on a NEQ6 Mount, Driven by SGP, and guided by PHD2. Stacked in DSS and processed in StarTools. With lots of help...thanks Al

I'm very happy with the result especially considering this was the first time I've used this camera and the first time out with Sequence Generator Pro (SGP) software. I'm also on a pretty steep learning curve with processing pics too.

All comments and feedback welcome and appreciated. :thanx:

Congratulations Rex, a very respectable first light galaxy image, with an impressive array of software and kit to tame as a portable rig under remote dark skies too, makes it extra cool :). Actually NGC 25 (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/56900354/original)3 was also my very first LRGB galaxy image too, taken waaaay back in 2003 (I was ecstatic with this ) ...yours is considerably better

That's a fine piece of photography Rex. Well done.

(I'm a bit surprised to see what looks like CA around the white stars. Your equipment shouldn't be showing any, I would have thought. Correct me if I'm wrong Rex.
It doesn't subtract from the photo at all. Just surprised enough I had to ask)

That's really nice. Way better than my OSC fumbling.
