You can always count on the littlies to occasionally say something embarassing when in public, but to say two embarassing things in the one sentence .... I just wanted to fall through a crack in the floor and disappear.

We were in a department store when a store employee walked past. She was a woman of extremely generous proportions. The kids were having fun saying "Hi " to everyone. They said "Hi" to this woman and then little Miss 4 came out with "Was that fat person a man or a woman?" :ashamed:

If the recipient of the comment overheard it, and received it with the same innocence in which it was spoken, I'm sure no harm was done, as they would see nothing unkind was meant by the openness of the comment.

Glad I wasn’t you though!

Cheers

How dreadfully embarassing! LOL

We'd just moved down to Cairns from the Cape and had moved into our new flat. At the local shops, James saw this bloke, about 25 he was. He was about 4'6" give or take. Jimmy said to me "Look at the little man", not just once, but again and again, louder and louder. To make things worse, he ended up being one of my neighbours, and I had to see him every day.

Aaah, the innocence and the honesty of a child. In a society drifting towards questionable 'political correctness' I find the straight forward and honest approach of a child refreshing...

I was in the street one day when I heard a small boy (around 4YO), who had only just managed to locate his dad outside the pub, scream (between fits of sobbing) at the top of his voice and in a very assertive manner "where have you been!!....... Mum said you're supposed to be looking after me!!"
