Updated version of last month's M45 from VicSouth, now with an extra 3 hrs LUM data from Kilmore, Victoria.

Revised Version, less green (https://www.astrobin.com/full/318173/C/) looks smoother now. :D

Looks great Andy, nice amount of dust that you’ve picked up! The big bright blue stars aren’t too intrusive either.

For a shot taken from so far south, that's pretty good Andy and a nice repro too...ya mum would be a little more proud even :)

HI Andy
Nice image just a bit over done for me gone a bit to far on processing

That's a nice improvement, Andy. Maybe a tad too much green, especially in the bottom right corner?

Cheers,
Rick.

Very nice Andy. As Rick noted this is a green gradient (light pollution probably). HLVG free plug in for Photoshop gets rid of that in seconds.

SCNR in Pixinsight does the same.

It will balance out the colours nicely. Green sometimes comes from airglow as well so you can still get excess green sometimes even if you image from a dark site.

Greg.

Cheers Colin, wasn’t easy to process!
Being a NB guy, I have lots of respect for the LRGB kings here :)

Thanks Mike, ‘twas a labor of love indeed.

Cheers Suavi!

Thanks Martin- well maybe but compared to yesterday’s Apod (https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap171114.html) mine’s positively vanilla flavoured :)

Thanks Rick, I’ll check it out.

Cheers Greg, unlikely to be LP at that site, as it’s pretty dark in the North- but airglow eh? That’s an interesting thought!

Does not blend in to the rest of the sky does not seem right
but it still looks good and Astro imaging is not easy Andy Just you got to keep trying some nights are good others are not.

You've taken it to a good conclusion. I think that's a wrap.

Looks a lot better from the first version I saw. I agree with Greg, I think it is just about perfect :)

Certainly looks better with the reduced green Andy, though I think you could remove more of it and adjust it to be more brown. I like the positioning to should some of the gas and dust in the surrounding field.
