OK, be a bit kind here. This is my first mono image from the 1600mm-c so is a triumph over clouds, inexperience, LP and very limited sky time.
It's only 14 mins of RGB frames @200 gain on Sunday night, first break we've had in months. I'm just happy I got all to work and manage a final image.
Needs lots more photons but I've learned a heap so far.

Brent, good first attempt. Why Gain 200? What was your sub length?

120 seconds Glen. There is only about 7 frames, 2 or 3 of each in there taken as approaching clouds closed the hole in the sky. I was more interested in getting something to process in RGB so I could progress my processing knowledge more and getting used to a whole new imaging process. Still made a few mistakes in settings.
I had an earlier attempt with 30 sec x 10 frames but s/n ratio was insufficient. Taken from the chart for an F7 scope @ gain 139.
It's all experimental at present and I'm in an orange zone I've figured out.

it's a nice photo Brent, and especially given your list of challenges :-)
Is there pink in the centre? I'm seeing pink and a steel blue and wasn't expecting it in a mono image. I don't dislike it, and was just surprised.
Nicely done.

Although 14 minutes will only get you so far, the detail looks quite good :) As for colour, it largely is just grey scale with some pink in the centre. Your data might be worth playing with but you might need to hit the processing again :) At any rate, just keep at it!
