Photo Challenge

The topic this month is: ... "Cables"
An interesting subject that should provide a range of interpretations, angles
and lateral thinking.! Get inventive to impress the judges with your submission. ;)

Now for the small print: ...
This thread is only for posting your entry, together with any comments/explanation/timeframe you'd like to issue concerning your own photo.
But if you would like to comment on other people's entries, or have any "other" shots of your own you'd like to share, then please use the Comments and Rejects Thread -> HERE (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=1343136#post134313 6).

Remember the Rules:
* one entry (just one image) per person and
* the image must be your own work.
* all other normal forum rules, and image size limits, apply.

The image doesn't necessarily have to be taken this month, but in the spirit of the challenge, we do encourage it, so you get out and get into it and enjoy the challenge.
In this regard, YES, the image may be one that you have submitted to a previous photo challenge, unless of course it has already been voted a winner.

The winner of the public vote, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic and have their photo added to our "Photo Challenge Hall of Fame" thread.

Good Luck! :camera:

I'll kick it off this month.
Our recent visitor to Devonport is going nowhere with these huge cables tying it securely to the dock.

Took this shot on a visit to Sydney earlier in the year. Some cables are not so obvious.

Finally got one I'm happy with. This is the sculpture on the cliffs at Kangaroo Point. Technically this is not actual cable, but the design has that cable look to it.

One I captured some seasons ago. The 22deg Halo was strong & long lasting this day, which enabled a short drive to location which had been on my mind for some time for this very purpose - to me, something ties the high voltage elect lines & the suns energy,,,

It's been a tough challenge for me, I did some shots earlier this month of other cable things but they looked a bit ordinary so last weekend I raided our garage on a mission to find cables of different colours.
Wish I had some sparklers to set them off
I'm a girrrrl- It's natural I should arrange them like flowers :P:lol:
