I have for sale a mint condition 3 month old William Optics 66 ED doublet APO refractor in its aluminium case with a WO 99% dialectric diagonal, valid warranty, instructions, cleaning cloth, all caps etc. Also included is a WO Red dot finder and WO base for the finder

The scope, diagonal and case cost me $849, but you can buy it at andrews for $719, the finder cost me $129 at andrews 3 weeks ago.

I have settled on my Meade 8" SCT and have poured everthing into a go-to mount so the WO has to go, hate to part with this little guy but the financial gods are calling.

It would cost you $850 to buy this new, I will sell them in new condition for $650, PM me if interested. Inspection welcome as always. Alex

Hello
Im quite interested in this, I was wondering if you had the receipt. I would rather purchase it for 719 from Andrews and get the warranty.

Keen to know the answer... just trying to get back into Astronomy and Im after either a decent little APO refractor or a Big Dob. Maybe both if I find them for the right price.

Cheers

Mystikal, those 2 scopes are chalk & cheese.

66mm refractor and a 6" dob (as you mention in your other thread) are nothing alike, and have different observing uses.

Firstly work out what type of observing you are interested in, then decide on the scope to match that type of observing.

Solar System, Deep Space, Very faint Deep Space, Astrophotography, etc.

I know the feeling of wanting to see something and any scope will do as long as I get to see.

But choose carefully or you'll constantly be buying different scopes due to dissatifaction.

Even worse, you'll turn into Striker and buy everything
