An attempt at bi-colour narrowband imaging - the Helix in HOO. Or should I say the Hoolix then?! :) Perhaps not!

5.7 hours of Ha and 3 hours of OIII with an RC8 and ASI1600MM-C.

Because of weird issues with mixing data from 2 sessions (as per this thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=161996)) though the brighter part of the nebula has nearly 6 hours of Ha, the rest of the image (i.e. the "eyebrow" etc) is just 3 hours.

Ha and HOO images attached and in full res on Astrobin here (http://www.astrobin.com/full/315617)and here (http://www.astrobin.com/full/316133/)respectively.

It’s reasonably deep Paul and showing up some nice detail. Colour is bang on for a standard HOO :)

Thanks Colin.

Thanks Rick. I tweaked the version on Astrobin after your comment there with a little LHE. Thanks for that. Not a PI process I've used much before.

Thanks H.

Thanks Marc.

Thanks Bart. But I think I can only compete with my puns ... though Mike may have the edge there too it seems!!

Indeed Martin. I guess that's the fun of this hobby - can keep on going back to the same targets and just trying to do better than the last time.
