Taking a panorama made of subexposures stacked in each panel plus a separate untracked landscape set is daunting processing.

I managed to make it work but it wasn't easy. There is a nice program for Macs to do this heavy lifting but no Windows version.

I used a Sony A7r2 with an Irix 15mm F2.4 lens on a Polarie Tracker and a Panoramic head. The separate set of landscape shots were 181 secs each ISO3200 F2.4 (4 panels) The sky was 4 panels. Lightroom, Pixinsight, Photoshop PT Gui.

Thanks Colin. Yes it worked out well with that.

But I am going to have to start travelling to some interesting locations.

Beautiful image Greg. What an idyllic location. What's the Mac software that you refer to?

Great shot Greg I wish I had the patience to do these panoramas. This would be a good sales pitch if one was a Real Estate Agent.

Well it was a lot of work. The hardest part was to blend in the landscape with the sky. Its still not perfect so I need to study up on the best way to do that.

I found some free software that makes aligning and combining and even subtracting darks and doing flats a breeze. Its called Sequator and it also works really fast. Its worth a download.

Nice, we are looking around too at the moment, apartment living has been good but we are toying with a move back out to nature and dark skies, so your shot made me stare and think Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)
