Looks like there is a night of excellent seeing coming our way in Sydney Sunday night and for a large part of the east coast. The moon is up but it might be worth getting that Ha filter out and hammer something at very long focal length. :)

Does look very promising. Unfortunately I will be away for the long weekend.

Well last night was great despite the moon. Managed a bit over 4h on the Helix in Ha at 3m FL. Was anyone else out imaging?

No imaging but was out observing the Moon. Got my best view so far of craterlets in Plato.

Was too tired to drive to the dark site, so I set up at home fighting the 3/4 moon and the airport lights...
First time guiding / imaging with the SXP - proved to be an absolute breeze! Tak TSA-102S with the TOA flattener/reducer. Stack of 5 x 10 minute subs, with no flats or bias (look at that dust mote :) ). Not keeper data, just an experiment. VERY happy with the entire setup now.
Seeing was excellent, and it got cold.

Sounds good Morton. I had a quick look at saturn and the moon the night before checking collimation but the seeing wasn't very good. Sunday night was awesome though with good transparency too it helped keeping moonglow at bay.
Sydney got down to 15c around 1:00am so it was quite mild. That glob looks sharp. Nice one.
