One of the key factors keeping my various hobby expenditures under control was that there were no convenient retail outlets near where I work in the Brisbane CBD area, so I'd have to head out of town buy electronics gizmos, 3D printer stuff, or astro-gear.

A couple of years ago, Bilby 3D opened a store in Upper Albert Street, but that's OK, because I only need consumables, I don't need to buy a new 3D printer. (But that doesn't stop me looking every time I go in to buy a reel of filament.)

But now Astro Anarchy (formerly Astro Pete's from Mt Gravatt) has opened in the Myer Centre - and boy, they've got some tempting looking stuff in the shop. (Hmmm ... that 16" Meade looks like it would just about fit on my patio.... :question: )

Must ... stay ... away ...
Must ... leave ... wallet ... in ... desk ... drawer ...
Must ... resist ... the ... urge ... to ... spend ...

Dammit! I'm heading off to the Myer Center at lunch-time! Who's joining me?
