Congratulations Brian W (Brian),

you are the winner for August.
Great photo - Popular Choice - Well done!

Congratulations also to the runner up, Suzy, it was a close decision, and a fine interpretation of the topic.
All the entries were great, thankyou to everyone who submitted an entry.
Such a wide selection of interpretations. It was hard to compare.

Keep up the good work everybody.

Brian, your entry now proudly hangs in our Hall of Fame.

Now, Brian, what theme would you like to nominate as the challenge topic for this month?

Thank you for your votes. The bokeh is built into the lens.

Might I nominate the wide topic of "all that glitters is not gold". This could include brightly colored stars, crinkled tin foil, marbles, crystal and so much more.

Thanks again, Brian

Congratulations Brian! :2thumbs:
I still can't believe I was second and for a while there it was even tyed :prey2:. I feel a winner as it's the closest I've come in this comp. :D:lol:.

I love the title of the next challenge. It's certainly making me think creative thoughts especially after Tim's post (thanks Tim!). Or just open my jewellery drawer .
Or the Etihad Airways plane has some very awesome bling on it  hmmm, especially in golden hour, it looks even more spectacular.

Congratulations Brian on a splendid winning shot and an intriguing new challenge.

After reading Tim's very helpful definition of “Glitter" I had a wander round the garden this morning looking for some suitably “coruscating effulgence” - but I drew a blank..... Perhaps I just didn’t recognise it… :screwy:

But I did spot this little chap enjoying the flowers. Now where was he last month? Nice wings, but do they have enough “fulgurating lambency” to meet the September Glitter challenge? And what does it all mean?? :confused2: :)

Thanks and you're welcome. The answer to what does it all mean is.... 42!

Thanks Suzy. :)

I was about to send you a PM but I got a message saying that apparently your message box has maxed out and you need to clear some out before it will accept any more. :eyepop:

Congratulations on your close finish with "Wings". How are you and your hubby finding the new 6D MkII?

Cheers,

Chris
