Selling my Skywatcher Makstov-Cassegrain 180mm, F2700mm Pro-Series, Gold Edition, OTA only.
Bought this scope second hand a few years ago for visual planetary observing.
Selling as I got new gear and it's not getting used anymore.
Comes with:
Front cap
Back 1.25" adapter with T-Thread and cap (updated)
Lightweight adjustable dew shield
Vixen dovetail
Finderscope mount
Wooden transport / storage box
Fitting Orion 20W 12V Dew Zapper with 3 meter cable and cigarette lighter plug
Has a SCT back (I think), outer thread diameter is 45.4 mm, opening is 24 mm, 1.25" adapter with T-Thread now included.
Can be used with 1.25" bino-viewers without additional corrector.
Price $380 plus postage with AusPost (https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/calculate-postage-delivery-times/#/).
Dimensions are 74cm x 40cm x 40cm, shipping weight is 14kg (OTA is about 8 kg).
Shipping to Sydney is about $45.
This scope is well priced due to:
OTA shows wear and tear, light scratches and marks on the tube, nothing major.
Focuser is smooth, but has a little image shift.
Front lens coating isn't perfect anymore, as shown in the pictures there is a circular line around the secondary mirror.
Main mirror isn't perfect anymore there are some small spots, sorry couldn't get it photographed.
Dovetail has the usual marks from usage.
Overall these issues doesn't affect the performance.
Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon look stunning!
Inspections welcome.
PMs only please.
