At the top left is Sinus Iridum with the sun reflecting on its Jura Mts. Starting at Plato, you can follow the curve of Mare Imbrium past the Alps and Appennine mountains finishing with Eratosthenes crater. Copernicus with its terraced walls and ejecta striations is next to the Carpathian Mts which are half obscured by the Terminator.

The photo was taken with the Canon Powershot, handheld, afocal, using a 2" 26mm GSO ep and 2x barlow.

That is great Jeanette! So clear!!!

And you can just make out the colours of the different minerals on the surface.

Nicely done

Great Jeanette

Love the peaks undergoing sunrise and 'floating disconnected' in the shadows.

I've got to agree with you there about the floating mountains. That was what I wanted to capture.
One of my New Years Resolutions is to learn more about the features of the Moon. It's up in the sky more often than not, so I've reposted the pic with labels.
