Hi all again in IIS,:)
Havn`t posted a image for a few weeks so thought I would put this up for comments.
Managed a few good nights once that large band of cloud decided to move North. Managed some deep M42 and some Rosette neb pics before the cloud returned yesterday...:mad2: Always plenty of cloud but not much rain.
Anyways the image of the Rosette nebulae is taken with my televue genesis and is a stack of 12x5 min at iso 800 with 3 DF and stacked and processed in Ps CS. Would have had more to stack but silly me forgot to plug in my dew heater and lost the last 4 frames..
Size is around 300k in size..
All comments most welcome...

Happy new year to everyone out there in cyberspace!!

Thats another great image Gary.
Another 4 probably wouldn't have made a big difference anyway..try another 20 and you would see the difference.
I wish I could have been imaging the Rosette it's one I havn't imaged yet.

ps: I always D/L the images posted here (albeit that they're 150k jpegs!) and try and play around with them in PS to make them "better". Your image I didn't even try! Very nice stuff.

Nice one Gary!!
Good clour, stars look nice and natural.
Seeing a bit iffy ???
The BKG neb looks like it's lacking a bit of detail and contrast.
And there's still quite a few hot pixels left also.
JIMO though, hope you don't mind me saying.
Still a very nice image all the same and looks a sthough the Televue is a good match with the 3ooD.
Cheers and happy new year.

Thanks for the comments Guys.....
Yeah Rich, didn`t get aroumd to touching up the hot pixels..but have done so now, applied some noise reduction in Ps but just a little to take the edge of it.. I think much more images to stack might help a lot like 2hrs worth..The seeing was ok but the rosette was starting to get low in the west as the last image was after 3am. but I am pretty happy with the result. You should see my last go at it from last year!! at 1600 iso on a hot night....:scared:
I like the old genesis, its great for widefield stuff and with a fast f/ ratio it gets a good signal quick, just some false color is anoying, be real nice to have the NP 101!!! but thats lots of $$$$..
Cheers and thanks for the comments..
